Creating taking a new turn

I have taken a new turn or rather an old turn in my creative life as of late. I have found sewing and quilting again. It has been so relaxing to go to the old ways.  I gave up Facebook and one of the reasons was to find my passion once again.

I was coming home from work, making dinner, taking care of pups, doing various errands, then sitting on the couch, looking at my phone, listening to TV and not interacting or doing anything I love!  Hummm...what was I to do? I decided I didn't want to live that way and on Jan 1, gave up facebook as my major Resolution.  September 19...and still no Facebook, and truly don't miss it.

Now...I may come back to facebook as a way to communicate sales and fun stuff in my Etsy store, but I don't think I will be doing it as Laura Lee...but as My Little Purple Studio. I'm still really on the fence because I have Instagram and feel like that can also communicate the same things.

Soooo....what I have been doing...Lots of quilting...I mean LOTS of quilting and a new sewing machine to go with it.  I got a Singer Patchwork...it's a nice beginning to do all they fancy stitches.

I still love paper crafts but have been more interested in fabric arts then paper arts as the need for masks arose, so did my love of fabric.  Now that I don't have a cat that wants to eat all my thread. I can enjoy without fear of killing a beloved pet. :)

I know I will go back to Paper arts soon.  Right now quilting and cross stitching is therapeutic and comforting.

See you soon.
